Some fun alternate routes for your consideration... note that Bayway variants are found on the Bayway page

East Bay Routes: these are highly recommended, but do require a BART trip to get to the starting point. C'est la vie until the Bay Bridge is someday bike-able.

Mid-Peninsula routes: some reasonable options with various high/low points when you're tired of the Bayway.

Northbound routes: when you want to be all HTFU and ride both ways.

Epic routes: when you are essentially taking the day off.
